School issues health warning after chickenpox outbreak

The school is urging parents to monitor their children.

ONE OF the state school's in the South Burnett has issued a health warning to their community.

Nanango State School posted on their Facebook page that a current student has been confirmed to have a current case of chickenpox.

After learning of this outbreak, they urged parents to monitor their children and if they suspected they had chickenpox to get it confirmed by a doctor.

The school also asked for parents to notify the school if their child had contracted it and keep them at home.
