Police are continuing to target drivers who insist on putting themselves and others in danger by drinking or taking drugs before getting behind the wheel.

Police are continuing to target drivers who insist on putting themselves and others in danger by getting behind the wheel with drugs or alcohol in their system.

Police stopped a Kia station wagon on Gooyong Street in Kingaroy just before 2am last Thursday.

The driver, a 50-year-old Sandy Ridges man, told police he hadn’t held at driver’s licence for 10 years.

He is due to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 30 charged with driving while unlicensed.

About 40 minutes later, a Kingaroy man was stopped while driving on Webster Street. Police will allege a search of his car found a small amount of marijuana.

The 41-year-old is due to front Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 16 charged with possessing a dangerous drug.

A 37-year-old Kingaroy man allegedly returned a positive roadside drug test after police pulled over his Daewoo station wagon on Rogers Drive last Thursday.

He’ll appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 19 for allegedly driving with a relevant drug present.

Officers stopped a Holden sedan on Haly street at 2.15pm later that day. When questioned, a 26-year-old man told police he didn’t have a driver's licence.

He’ll appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 30 charged with disqualified driving.

The man’s vehicle was also impounded with police seeking it to be forfeited.

Just over an hour later police pulled over a Daihatsu hatch on Albert Street for a roadside breath test.

The 30-year-old Kingaroy man allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.06 and is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 3o charged with drink driving.

At 1.20am on Sunday, police stopped a Toyota utility on Kingaroy Street.

The 38-year-old Springfield Lakes man allegedly had a BAC of 0.09.

He’s due to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 30 charged with drink driving.

At 4.15pm that afternoon police stopped a Holden station wagon on Baron street. The driver, a Kingaroy man, told police he didn’t have a driver's licence.

The 21-year-old will appear in the Cherbourg Magistrates Court on August 18 charged with disqualified driving.

The man’s vehicle was also impounded and police are seeking it to be forfeited to the state.
