Police investigating early morning Nanango break-in

A Nanango home was broken into early this morning by a suspected teenage boy.

In the early hours of the Wednesday morning, a home on Hawthorne Street in Nanango was broken into by someone described as a “teen boy”.

The incident occurred around 3am, according to a resident of the household.

“We got broken into at around 3am at Hawthorne Street, Nanango by a teen boy,” the resident said on an anonymous social media post.

They said they had a description of the person and had notified police.

“I don’t think he got anything. Haven’t noticed anything missing yet,” the resident said.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed police were aware of the incident.

“Police are investigating a burglary in Nanango around 3am this morning at a residence on Hawthorne Street. Nothing was stolen. Investigations are continuing,” the spokesman said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
