Bunya Mountains crash: Teenager flown to PA Hospital, two taken to Kingaroy Hospital after mountain biking incident

A teenage boy is fighting for life after suffering critical head injuries while mountain biking in the Bunya Mountains.

A teenager has sustained critical injuries after he crashed his mountain bike while riding at the Bunya Mountains.

Emergency services were called to Bunya Avenue at 4.20pm on Tuesday, southwest of Kingaroy, after three riders were reportedly involved in a crash.

LifeFlight were tasked about 4.30pm, and landed nearby to meet with paramedics.

A teenage boy was treated for serious head injuries, before he was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

He travelled in a critical condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and LifeFlight Paramedic.

Two other riders were assessed at the scene, with one patient sustaining a hand injury, while another had no obvious injuries.

They were both transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.
