Nanango police are investigating after petrol was poured over a W Dugdell Road fence, attempted to ignite it

CCTV footage is being reviewed after a person poured the accelerant over a South Nanango fence before attempting to light it on fire.

Police are investigating a wilful damage after a person poured petrol over fencing surrounding a South Nanango property before attempting to set it alight.

Nanango officer-in-charge Sergeant Brett Smith said the person attempted to light the fence on fire, however only managed to ignite a patch of grass in the front yard of the W Dugdell Road property.

The incident is believed to have occurred between July 30-31.

Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the property.
