Murgon carjacking: Teenagers steal vehicle at knife-point and set it on fire

A 41-year-old man was carjacked in the South Burnett this week and police are keen to talk to anyone who knows anything about it.

A terrifying carjacking in Murgon this week has left a man shaken after two teenagers stole his vehicle at knife-point.

At around 7pm on Wednesday, a 41-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle on Lamb Street when an unknown male teenager approached him, demanding his car keys.
The teenager made threats before taking the keys and fleeing the scene in the car, accompanied by a second male teenager.

The man was not physically injured during the incident.
Police later found the stolen white Kia station wagon in Cherbourg, where it had been severely damaged by fire.

Investigations are ongoing.
