This week marked the end of the schooling for the South Burnett class of 2019.

Kingaroy St Mary’s Catholic College celebrated their school formal on Tuesday, while Kingaroy State High School students had their moment to shine on the red carpet on Thursday night.

2. Mother left dog for days in the dirt without water

A single mother left her two-year-old dog in the dirt under her Goomeri home while she went to visit her friend in Bundaberg for six days.

3. Angler hooks place in top 10 at world championships

Kingaroy angler Matthew Langford said it was bitter sweet to return home after he came so close to achieving a podium finish at a championship in the USA.

4. Man rescues paddock of animals from wild bushfire

A man from Nanango spent his day off saving horses and cattle from an out-of-control fire on the outskirts of Kingaroy.

5. Murder trial: Jury retires to decide two men’s fate

Did Trevor Spencer and Stephen Crump conspire to kill Mundubbera father Gary Ryan?

Author Toni Risson said there would have been around five Greek cafes in Kingaroy alone in the mid-1900s.

8. Man wakes up with uncle’s blood on his hands

A SOUTH Burnett man woke up on the couch at his friend’s house with blood on his nose, a black eye and blood on his hands that wasn’t his.

He had no recollection of how he got there or what had happened the night before.

Cooper’s Gap wind farm has caused much talk among South Burnett residents.

And it is no surprise, considering once it is complete, it will become the largest wind farm in the country.
