SPRING just got a whole lot brighter and bluer with Kingaroy's Jamaica Blue's extended menu aiming to promote creativity and self expression.
The cafe's manager of eight years, Tash Baker, said this wasn't the first or last time the cafe has had a menu promotion.
"Every now and then we do a special menu of sorts," she said.
"This time around the focus is on #Extrablue.
"Last year we only had a blue latte, but this time we also have a blue iced tea and blue cheesecake."
No this is not a blue-cheese cheesecake, but rather a blueberry cheesecake.
The latte is also not what you would think.
"The latte is actually caffeine free," Ms Baker said.
"It's pretty much a white hot chocolate with blue curacao syrup."
The blue curacao syrup was made from the dried peel of a Laraha citrus fruit.
The blueberry cheesecake is made from natural blue spirulina, topped with blueberries and granola. So there are no guilty blue worries.
The iced tea features butterfly pea, lemongrass, and ginger tea. Everything is natural.
To celebrate the launch of the extra blue menu, Jamaica Blue is launching a campaign that celebrates creativity and self-expression.
They are encouraging customers to live a bit extra by sharing the fun-filled ways they have turned their extra blue menu items into accessories on social media with the hashtag #ExtraBlue.
Ms Baker said she thinks it's about having a little bit of fun.
"It's just a change I guess," she said.
"It's all about being a bit different and creative.
"Plus it helps that everything tastes good and is fun for the staff too."
The #ExtraBlue menu will be available in all Jamaica Blue cafes for dine in or take away from today to October 15 only.
