A generous Kingaroy community has raised $6000 for a vital rescue service through a Dinner Under the Stars event.
The Kingaroy Men’s Shed hosted the successful fundraiser at the Vintage Machinery Shed on Saturday.
Many gathered from all over the Burnett to enjoy world class entertainment, fresh made damper and smoked meat, refreshing beverages and quality raffles in support of the RACQ LifeFlight.
Dinner Under the Stars raised $6000 for RACQ LifeFlight in 2021 and $8500 in 2022.
In 2023, the men’s shed had a goal to raise $10,000 but this year’s total funds raised are yet to be announced.
Representative Ralph Clark said LifeFlight was close to everyone’s hearts.
“It is a big help to everyone in our region, you never know when you might need them and that is how we came up with the idea to do a fundraiser for them,” Mr Clark said.
