The heartbreak experienced by the family of a five-year-old boy, who was tragically struck by a vehicle in the South Burnett, has been described as “incomprehensible”.
Jack Brown died after being hit by a reversing car on Gilliland Crescent, Blackbutt North on Monday July 3 2023, while on a camping holiday with his family.
Close family friend Sara Beath has started a GoFundMe for the family, writing online that Jack’s passing had left an insurmountable path forward for his parents Jim and Carla and his eight-year-old brother.
Ms Beath has asked for help to support the family through this “beyond unbearable” time.
“With sadness, this has been set up to allow those rallying around the family in this devastating time to contribute to any expenses they will incur as a result of this unimaginable tragedy,” Ms Beath said.
Another family friend said there were no words for the sadness and no understanding for losing someone so young.
Teacher Rachel Patrick said, “Such a beautiful family, it was such a pleasure to have you in my class”.
