A 12-year-old boy is among three children charged after police tracked and disabled two stolen vehicles in Murgon early Sunday morning.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the incident began around 12.45am when a house on Cowie Drive in Kingaroy was broken into.

The teens allegedly found two sets of car keys inside the home and stole the cars from the carport.

Police tracked the stolen cars from Kingaroy to Murgon, where they deployed stingers about 1.15am.

The vehicles were successfully disabled on Lamb Street in Murgon before the group fled on foot.
