Two Roma residents charged with the alleged manslaughter of six-year-old Riley Wells, have had their committal dates set for March 6.
Summer-Ann Michelle Harrison and Jessie Jade Dennis were both charged with manslaughter in January 2023.
Police allege the pair had been on a kangaroo hunting trip and left the boy, who was unable to free himself, in Mr Dennis’ Toyota LandCruiser before the car was struck by a passing prime mover.
Riley died at the scene, 20km north of Injune on the Carnarvon Highway.
Mr Dennis and Ms Harrision had been in the car with the child but were able to free themselves before the collision.
She is charged with one count of manslaughter, and one count of taking a protected animal.
He is also charged with one count of manslaughter, one count of evasion and two counts of taking a protected animal.
Magistrate Michael Wood granted a final adjournment of four weeks in the Roma Magistrates Court on February 7.
The court was told the case was likely to proceed by way of registry committal to a higher court.
Both matters have been listed for committal on March 6.
