A 25-year-old man has been arrested after a spate of alleged break-ins to Roma businesses.

The Peak Crossing man has been charged with breaking into eight Roma businesses between February 15 and 16.

Police allege the man stole cash, as well as other property from the businesses.

The man was arrested after police executed a search warrant at a Roma address on February 16, where police seized alleged evidence in relation to the offences.

The 25-year-old has been refused bail on eight charges and will remain in custody on remand until his next court appearance in Ipswich Magistrates Court on March 4.

Maranoa Veterinary alleged their business was broken into on the night of the crime spree, but a spokeswoman said they believed no property was stolen and nothing was damaged.
