AUSTRALIA'S oldest man Dexter Kruger, 108, had a special visit on Wednesday.

Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources David Littleproud and Shadow Minister for Agriculture Industry Development and Fisheries and Forestry Tony Perrett stopped in at Roma's Pinaroo aged care to chat to Dexter about his 11 books.

After lively discussions headed by the world's oldest author Dexter,

Mr Littleproud was presented with 10 of his 11 books on the house.

Mr Perrett on the other hand, handed Dexter one of his business cards to remember him by and being the witty man Dexter is, he replied "you can buy one of my books to remember me by”.

Mr Littleproud and

Mr Perrett were both looking forward to reading the books, but were warned by Dexter that they were addictive.

"Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down,” Dexter said.

"I sit on a plane a lot of the time, so I will have plenty of time read these,” Mr Littleproud said.
