LUXURY and relaxation are only a short drive from Injune, where a new business has just opened.
Meraki Reach, run by Ellie Jackson and husband Russell, is offering the Maranoa a unique blend of country charm and Pacific-style massage on their home property, Maintop.
“It is a relaxing time away – just that time out and pampering, along with eating highly nourishing organic food which we grow here,” Ms Jackson said.
“Our guests can have bodywork sessions, which is like facilitated yoga, and also massage.
“My style (of massage) is Hawaiian, and has it’s own flavour, so to speak.”
Having just opened her doors, Ms Jackson is starting small, but has grand plans for the future of the business.
She said he hopes to capitalise on the growth of outback tourism, the emerging market of corporate retreats, and popular holiday trends.
“At this stage, I can’t do a big corporate retreat, because I haven’t got heaps of accommodation yet,” Ms Jackson said.
“But if we do expand, I am going to bing in ‘glamping’, that is what I’m going to slowly expand in to, but it won’t be all at once.
“I’m quite looking forward to building the glamping tents, and grow so we can have more people here at a time.”
Meraki Reach is Ms Jackson’s second business venture; she originally started making and selling soaps and other body products made from goat’s milk under the brand name Ellie’s Range.
The retreat is growing an online presence, and can be found on social media.
