THERE is no stopping this talented 10-year-old, who boxed her way to win her first international fight.

Amelia O'Toole has recently returned from Auckland, New Zealand as a champion after competing in the Super Series Five tournament.

Going up against 11-year- old Steve-Ray Rangianha, Amelia was said to have faced a tough fight against the New Zealand local.

Trainer Chris Seng, who was unable to attend the fight, said he was told Rangianha kept coming back strong.

"It was a good hit-out for Amelia and is a great achievement to reach at 10,” Seng said.

Amelia's family were ring-side to support her at the weekend, with her mother Kylie admitting nerves were running high for everyone.

"I think we were a bit more nervous and emotional for her this time because it was such a big tournament, but she did us proud and getting the win just topped off the whole experience.

"Our whole family is just so proud of her. It is a huge achievement to compete at an international level at her age and for her to compete so well.

"Watching as she was announced as winner and seeing her reaction was an amazing moment for us.”

Now winning five for five fights, Amelia was grateful for the opportunity.

"I am very proud to have had the opportunity to compete at an international level and represent not just Charleville and Queensland, but my country as well.

"I have had heaps of fun with my team members and supporting my team as well and I can't wait for my next trip,” Amelia said.

The next boxing ring Amelia is set to step into is the Queensland Golden Gloves tournament in late August, with more hard yards on the horizon for the young boxer.

"Amelia is now having a few days' rest before getting back into training for the Queensland Golden Gloves,” Seng said.

"She is already one of the best for her age and weight and we are going to try and get as many fights in to help her get even better.”

The O'Toole family would like to thank DJ's Produce and C Brooks General Carriers, who have come on board as major sponsors for Amelia.
