Comm Hotel ready to ring in the new year

The popular venue in Roma will host crowd favourite musician, Lloyd Saunders, on New Year's Eve.

THE Commonwealth Hotel will throw open its doors on Monday night to celebrate New Year's Eve, joined by a special guest, former local musician Lloyd Saunders.

Returning to his home town for the occasion, Saunders and his band will serenade the crowds on three nights, including tonight and Saturday, before rocking the house for a spectacular start to 2019.

Hotel co-owner Ben Cannon said he could not wait for the revelry to begin, and said Saunders would be the best entertainment in town.

"Lloyd is a local, born and bred, and he plays exclusively here at the Comm every six weeks or so,” Mr Cannon said.

"He has a good following and is an absolutely phenomenal entertainer.

"On New Year's Eve, Lloyd will be playing from 8pm right through to 2am.”

There will be free entry to The Comm all night, until closing time at 2am.

As well as having live music, Roma's number one party and entertainment venue will run its Back to Basics promotion from 6pm until close.
