Fiona Ford revealed as best hairdresser in Roma, Maranoa

The bona fide best hairdresser in the Maranoa region has been announced. Here’s who topped our poll.

Roma’s best hairdresser has been announced.

Whether you’re there for a cut, colour, blowout or chat, having a hairdresser who you can count on to make you feel beautiful inside and out is invaluable.

We asked you to nominate your favourite hairdressers, and now we can reveal the results of our poll.

Only three votes separated the most popular hairdressers in Roma, but one emerged victorious.

Fiona Ford, of Hair FX on McDowall, has been officially crowned as the Maranoa region’s best hairdresser.

“It’s just a huge compliment from my clients,” Ms Ford said.

Ms Ford said what she likes most about being a hairdresser is “taking care of (her) clients,” and “making them feel good about themselves”.

As well as voting for her, some of her most loyal customers shared how Ms Ford has added to their lives.

Bronwyn wrote Ms Ford “does an amazing job (and) is a beautiful person to go with it.”

“(She) always listens, there through moments over our lives and has given us support not just as a (hairdresser) but as a friend,” June wrote.

Nelco wrote, “Fiona is a very talented artist.”

For Antonia Rodgers, of Afros Hair & Beauty, who came a close second, there was also abundant support.

Tracey wrote, “Toni is extremely talented in how she applied her creative skills to do an awesome style and beautiful colour. Simply creates magic every time!!!”

Jackie wrote, “Toni just knew how to treat my hair from day one. She knows what style suits.”

Camilla Schefe, of Hair at Yours by Camilla, came third in the competition.

Terri wrote, “Camilla always goes out of her way to fit me in around my busy schedule.”

Another supporter wrote, “Camilla is very talented, she effortlessly styles my hair, and is a mind reading magician who has given me so much confidence post divorce.”

The support for hairdressers across the board was overwhelming.

Jo shared a picture of her new hair colour, which she said makes her feel “refreshed.”

Countless more people shared kind words about their hairdressers, and how they make a difference in their lives.

“(She) knows exactly how I want my hair every time,” wrote Kim.

“Kel just makes getting your hair done so relaxing and is such a happy girl to have a yarn with,” wrote Tara.

“She makes me feel so comfortable and I leave feeling so confident,” wrote Jode.

“Alicia knows my hair better than me,” wrote Sarah.

“Mindi has a huge heart; her cut, colour & styling always leaves you feeling refreshed and ready for anything,” wrot Jodie.

“Her knowledge and skills are second to none,” wrote Jane.

“Always so nice and lovely to talk to,” wrote Leah.

“Always helpful with ideas and makes me feel confident and great after my haircut, and so patient with my daughter and son,” wrot Donna.

“She takes years off me,” wrote Elle.
