With so many events to choose from, Easter in the Country president, Jenny Flynn, shared her insider tips on what not to miss.

“It’s about promoting the Roma community,” Mrs Flynn said.

“It’s great to see families coming and families enjoying good old-fashioned fun.”

Children will have the opportunity to meet Australian icons Bluey and Bingo, as well as a particularly special cotton-tailed friend at the Big Rig Parklands on Friday for an Eggcellent afternoon.

The free event will run from 2-5pm on Good Friday, with Bluey and Bingo hosting two live and interactive experiences, and a special appearance from the bunny of the hour.

Mrs Flynn said another highlight would be the Outback Tucker Under the Stars, sponsored by Cement Australia.

While the event has sold out, those who were lucky enough to score a ticket will be treated to a unique culinary experience, hosted by My Kitchen Rules legends Dan and Steph at the iconic Roma Saleyards.

Facilitated by Terra Firma Dining, 300 ticket holders will feast on local produce, with beef from the Maranoa the hero of the table.

However, the Crown Jewel of the Easter in the Country celebration is, predictably, Easter Sunday.

The event is co-ordinated by Jenny Flynn, who has been president of Roma’s Easter in the Country for 12 years. She said she works year-round with the committee of eight to bring the festival to life, which is ultimately made possible by the slew of sponsors.
