A NEW era has been ushered in at Roma's Big Rig, after the attraction's first Sunset Experience was held last night.

A spin-off of the long-running night show, the experience was hosted by local guide, Thallon Keegan.

"We are very excited to welcome back long term local and The Big Rig extraordinaire, Thallon Keegan, to conduct The Big Rig Night Show Sunset Tours,” portfolio chair for tourism Councillor Puddy Chandler said.

"Thallon's Dad, Peter Keegan, is the man behind all the knowledge displayed in The Big Rig Oil Patch.”

Recent upgrades to the Big Rig's facilities have allowed for the new show to go ahead.

"The new screen can be used in the middle of the day as effectively as they can after dark, unlike before,” Cr Chandler said.

"Therefore, the new night show will start at 5pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.”

As well as the show, the new experience includes a sampling session for adults to try locally made port.

The Big Rig Sunset Experience is a ticketed show, costing $18 for adults, $12 for children, or $45 for families.
