Three vehicle crash blocks road outside Yeppoon

A crucial road in Central Queensland has been blocked after a three-vehicle collision.

Emergency services are responding to a three vehicle crash just outside Yeppoon.

The crash occurred on the Yeppoon Rd, Neils Rd intersection with the eastbound lane blocked, a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.

The westbound lane was still open with traffic moving slowly and motorists advised to seek alternative routes, the QPS spokesman said.

One fire crew was on the scene and there were no people trapped in their vehicles, a Queensland Fire Department spokesman said.

Paramedics were also on scene, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
