Road closures across Rockhampton, Livingstone and Central Highlands

Some roads across Central Queensland remain impacted or closed following significant rainfall. SEE THE FULL LIST

Following record-breaking amounts of rainfall across Central Queensland, motorists have been warned to stay vigilant and drive to the conditions.

The heavy rain has seen creeks swell and large amounts of water forcing the closure of a number of roads across the region.

The wet weather even forced the closure of an important Central Highlands’ road for three hours after a Followmont prime mover slid on bitumen and jackknifed, blocking vehicles coming both ways.

A truck crashed blocking the road between Capella and Tieri.

As usual, emergency services urge drivers to remember if it’s flooded, forget it.
