Real estate agent sells $250 million worth of properties

WHEN Jason Rayner sells a house, it’s all about the smile on his client’s face when they walk through the front door of their new home.

WHEN Jason Rayner sells a house, it's all about the smile on his client's face when they walk through the front door of their new home.

"It's overwhelming when you see someone move into their new house; it's a wonderful feeling of meeting (clients) expectations," Jason said.

And it's the real estate agent's positive attitude that has seen him hit a milestone of selling $250 million worth of properties in the Rockhampton region.

The high number of sales for Jason has come across six years of selling houses with Harcourts.

"I've only come back to Harcourts after a five year break, and it's great to have achieved that much," Jason said.

"It's a milestone, and I plan on doing another $250 million.

"But it's just a number.

"It's all about the enjoyment of the job.

"If you're happy in what you do, it's not like going to work," he said.

And Jason is gearing up for another great year in 2014 with a positive outlook on the region's housing market.

"The housing market, I think, is going well, but it's purely your attitude.

"If you stay positive and think you'll have a good day you will," Jason said.

Colleague Melinda Kirby is well on her way with $40 million in sales during her time with Harcourts.

"We've sold over 70 houses last year," Melinda said. "It's hard work, but you put the work in and it's a great personal achievement."
