A woman, initially feared to have suffered head and spinal injuries after falling from a quad bike while mustering cattle in Central Queensland on Sunday, has been released from hospital.

The RACQ CapRescue chopper was called to a rural property about 96km north of Rockhampton about 11.10am.

On Sunday, a CapRescue spokeswoman said the injured woman, in her 50s, was stabilised on scene by the onboard medical team and flown to Rockhampton Hospital for further scans and treatment.

“Upon arrival at the scene, a woman was treated for suspected head and spinal injuries,” the CapRescue spokeswoman said.

On Tuesday, a Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service spokeswoman provided a positive update, saying the woman had been discharged from Rockhampton Hospital.

Sunday was a busy day for the region’s emergency services crews with two women injured when a car flipped onto its side in a two-vehicle crash in North Rockhampton about 12.15pm.

Both women were taken to Rockhampton Hospital - one in her 60s had neck and chest pain, while the other in her 70s suffered an arm injury and possible leg injuries.
