A home right on the beach in a slice of Queensland’s coastal paradise has sold for under $1 million, with the property next door still available on the market for even less.

A beachfront house in a highly sought after area on the Capricorn Coast has sold for under $1 million, with the property next door still available on the market.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 32 Kennedy Street, Zilzie, sold for $940,000 on December 9 through The Agency CQ.

Property partner Anna McPherson said the double storey brick home sold to buyers from Yeppoon who were renovating the property and “making it their forever home”.

Ms McPherson said 32 Kennedy Street and 28 Kennedy Street, Zilzie, which is located next door, were originally marketed together with the option to purchase one or both of the beachfront homes.

She said 28 Kennedy Street was still for sale for offers over $899,000.

“The owners previously owned two allotments that have been in the family a long time next door to each other,” she said.

She said the property was absolute beachfront and that there was a very strong level of interest in the home.

The home is on a flat 1179 sqm beachfront allotment and boasts three bedrooms, two bathrooms, open plan living and dining area with hardwood floors, waterfront deck, viewing platform and front patio with panoramic sea views, additional multipurpose room, laundry and double garage.

Ms McPherson said she had another property on the Capricorn Coast hit the market last week, with a five-bedroom, two bathroom home at 100 Bottlebrush Drive, Lammermoor, being listed for expressions of interest.

“I find buyers at the moment are absolutely loving that coastal concept of property with wooden floors,” she said.

Two further properties are listed for sale on Kennedy Street, Zilzie, with 8 Kennedy Street listed for offers to purchase through Professionals Emu Park and 34 Kennedy Street listed for expressions of interest through @ Real Estate.
