Plans revealed for 400 lot Mildura Rise Estate at Rockyview

Plans for a new proposed subdivision on Rockhampton’s outskirts have been revealed, with plans showing the development being located between two popular housing estates. See the plans here.

One of the region’s biggest growth areas could get even bigger if a development application gets the green light from council.

Documents were recently lodged with Livingstone Shire Council for a proposed subdivision at Rockyview off the Bruce Highway, on Rockhampton’s northern boundary.

If approved, the development would see more than 400 new blocks available for residential housing.

According to the plans, the proposed estate would be called Mildura Rise and would be developed between Olive Estate and Park Ridge Estate, with some roads connecting the three estates together.

The designs show Mildura Rise would be connected to Olive Estate with a new road joining with Jolinda Way and would then connect to Francis Drive at Park Ridge Estate.

Plans show the lots would vary in size with one of the smallest lots being 1000m2 and the biggest 7100m2.

The documents also show an already approved service station would be built on the highway near the development.

The subject land is currently listed as Under Contract on RealEstsate.com.au and is about 115.9 hectares in size.

According to RealEstate.com.au the median house price for a property in Rockyview is $692,000.

The website also says the median price for a four bedroom property is $642,000.

The suburb has also seen a compound growth rate of 11.2 per cent for houses.

Vacant blocks of land for sale in Rockyview are listed between $160,000 and $315,000.
