A “prestigious” home located in Yeppoon’s “exclusive street”, with the “best views in town”, has sold to buyers from New South Wales for $1.24 million.
The two-storey property at 16 Freeman Street sold on July 12 through @ The Beach Real Estate Yeppoon.
Sales agent Sean Appleton said the property had a lot of viewings in the past three months before it sold.
Mr Appleton said he had about one person through the house for an inspection each week, which he described as good for the top end of the market.
He said the buyers were a couple from New South Wales.
“I sold the house across the road, 11 Freeman Street, for $1.75 million,” he said.
“These people rang asking about it, and when they realised it was already gone, we moved across on to 16 Freeman Street.
“They are a very nice couple. They have been enjoying the weather here the last week and with all that is happening in New South Wales they are looking forward to getting up here.
“They are very happy with the house.”
He said the previous owner sold the property with intentions to move south for family reasons.
Having been “meticulously” renovated about 10 years ago, the property boasts four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, four outdoor entertainment areas, and a two-car garage.
A custom designed pool with water features is the centrepiece of the back entertaining area, which provides direct access to the entertainer’s kitchen.
On the lower level of the property is a separate visitor’s wing for guests.
Mr Appleton said the main feature of the property in Freeman Street were the 360-degree panoramic views over the ocean, islands, Yeppoon CBD, and rural vistas.
He said the property was also two minutes away from town.
“They are beautiful houses in the best position in town and with the best views,” he said.
“I have plenty of people looking for houses in that area and price range and would love a couple more listings if anyone is willing to sell.”
