It can be revealed a man accused of breaking into a couple’s home and stealing an urn with their beloved baby son’s ashes in it also faces other charges.

The case against a man accused of breaking into a couple’s North Rockhampton home and stealing a number of items, including an urn containing their baby son’s ashes, has returned to court.
Travis Roy Anderson, 32, allegedly broke into Natasha Tacon and Braeden Carolan’s home on Thorn St, Berserker, while the family was out between 12.30pm and 3.15pm on July 15.
It’s alleged a number of items were stolen, including their son Alec James Carolan’s ashes which were in an urn in a black velvet box.
Mr Anderson’s matter was briefly mentioned in Rockhampton Magistrate Court on August 5, where it was adjourned to be mentioned again on August 20.
He was remanded in custody.
Speaking with this publication, Natasha said Braeden said the urn of their baby boy Alec, who was just nine hours old when he died, was found in a dumpster at the Frenchville Sports Club the following day.
Mr Anderson was charged with one count of enter dwelling and commit.
The court heard also faces other charges for incidents that allegedly occurred in the Rockhampton region between June 28 and July 21.
Mr Anderson’s other charges include two counts of enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of trespass on a railway, trespass – unlawfully enter or remain in yard or place for business, contravene direction or requirement police officer, obstruct police officer, wilful damage, possessing dangerous drugs, failure to appear in accordance with undertaking, enter premises and commit indictable offence and unlawful use of motor vehicles aircraft or vessels – use.
No pleas have been entered.
