Police are hunting for the accused thieves of a stolen vehicle used to smash through the steel roller door of a Rockhampton bottle shop, destroying it and trashing the store.
Police allege they disrupted the accused offenders when the BWS at Gracemere Shopping World on McLaughlin St was ram raided at 5am and they allegedly fled a short time later in the vehicle.
The yellow metal bollards were ripped out of the ground where they were bolted.
Shocked onlookers peered inside the store as they walked past, and concerned staff members gathered outside near police officers.
Smashed bottles and ruined displays could be seen from outside the store, and the scent of wasted liquor wafted from the trashed store.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with information, or who may have dashcam vision or CCTV in the area around McLaughlin Street between 4am and 6am to contact police.
Police are particularly appealing to anyone with information on two vehicles sighted in area, including a silver Great Wall and silver Jeep.
