No serious injuries following a car crash into shop in Sapphire Central

A vehicle has crashed into a shop in the town of Sapphire Central, west of Emerald.

Emergency services responded to the incident which occurred at 9am on Monday, May 26.

According to a Queensland Fire Department spokesman one rural fire crew responded to the incident and the building involved suffered only superficial damage.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said no one was in the shop when the incident occurred while a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the sole occupant in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and didn’t need to be taken hospital.
