Man, woman, child rescued after medical episode in the bush near Sandy Point, Yeppoon on Christmas Eve
Two adults and a child found themselves in a Christmas Eve catastrophe when they were separated from their vehicle and became dehydrated and unwell in coastal scrubland, sparking a helicopter rescue.

A man in his 50s was airlifted to a Central Queensland hospital on Christmas Eve after he suffered a medical episode and collapsed in the sand dunes surrounded by thick bushland.
A CapRescue spokesperson said the man was suffering from dehydration and suffered a medical episode, near Sandy Point on Farnborough Beach, and that he was not accessible for a standard rescue due to his position in the sand dunes.
The man was winched from the location and stabilised on board by the medical team before being flown to Rockhampton Hospital.
A woman in her 20s and a child were also transported to Rockhampton hospital in a stable condition.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said two crews attended the incident around 7.00pm.
State Emergency Services search and rescue crews assisted QFES with locating the three patients, who were found when crews heard them calling out into the darkness.
The man was winched out of the bush by a CapRescue helicopter, and the two women were walked out on foot.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said they attended the incident around 6.40pm.
The woman in her 20s and the female child were driven to Rockhampton in an ambulance in a stable condition, while the man in his 50s was airlifted in a stable condition.
Sandy Point lies about 12km north of Farnborough Beach and can only be accessed by a 4WD with a medium capacity. It is part of the Byfield National Park in Yeppoon.
