Man hit freak tree branch falls into open vehicle

A man has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital after a tree branch reportedly fell and hit him while travelling on a rural road.

A man has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital after a tree branch reportedly fell and hit him while he was on Raspberry Creek Road, Kunwarara about 12.20am.

He was in an open top vehicle travelling on the road when the branch fell into the car.

He suffered a hip injury and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

It wasn’t clear whether the branch related to a tree falling or how many people were in the vehicle at the time.

Queensland Police and the Queensland Fire Department were not required to attend.

No age for the victim was provided.
