Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash outside a busy school at lunchtime.
Emergency services responded to the multi-vehicle crash on Yaamba Road outside Emmaus College about midday.
Queensland Ambulance Service reports two people were taken to Rockhampton Hospital in stable conditions following the three-vehicle crash.
Three other stable patients did not require transport.
Earlier reports indicated at least one car was in the middle of the road and one person was suffering chest pain as emergency services were called.
Queensland Police Service, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and Queensland Ambulance Service attended.
QFES tasked two units to the incident.
