Shocking details of a domestic violence case involving a man harassing a woman with 435 text messages in one day and calling her a vibrator have been aired in court.

The 34-year-old man, who by law cannot be named, pleaded guilty in Biloela Magistrates Court on March 22 to contravening a domestic violence order.

The court heard the man’s offending happened this year after he and his female victim had separated.

Police prosecutor Jennifer Leach said between January 14 and January 24, the man sent the woman numerous text messages and photos, and tried to phone her.

Ms Leach said the man sent the woman 435 text messages on January 15 as well as six “pictures”.

“In these messages, the (man) has made reference to intimate images located in the (woman’s) bedroom, as well as numerous comments and questions, intimating that the (woman) has a new partner,” Ms Leach said.

“In one message, the (man) called the (woman) a vibrator.”

Ms Leach said on January 21, the man sent the woman a meme which contained a photo of the woman and the words “I cannot wait to suck your big, hard c---” written across it, with a “smiley face glasses emoji and a … penguin smacking its backside.”

Ms Leach said the man then attempted to call the woman, and he sent her a text saying: “I got plenty of videos too hey if you want to be famous.”

The court heard that the following day, the man said to the woman’s children, with her present: “(Child’s name), your mum will only let you have a sleepover at (another person’s) place so she can go and be a sl--.”

The court heard the man had no prior criminal history.

A solicitor said the man was “genuinely remorseful” for his actions and he knew that his behaviour was “completely unacceptable.”

The solicitor said the man, who had a full-time job, had seen a counsellor and he was “ashamed of his behaviour.”

Magistrate Philippa Beckinsale fined him $1000. A conviction was not recorded.
