It will be alleged Mrs Duffy sustained “substantial injuries”, believed to be caused by a bladed instrument.

Mr Cecil’s matter was mentioned in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on November 16 with no defence lawyers appearing for him.

The court heard the last time Mr Cecil had a lawyer appear for him, it was a duty lawyer from Legal Aid.

Meanwhile, police prosecutor Sergeant Darrell Dalton provided an update on the brief of evidence, which had been ordered the last time Mr Cecil had legal representation.
