A man has been charged after police were called to reports a man had been assaulted in a Rockhampton suburb. UPDATE

Rockhampton Police are investigating a possible assault after a 22-year-old man suffered injuries to both arms at Glenmore Road, Park Avenue on February 24 before 6.30pm.

A 26-year-old man has been charged after police were called to reports a man was being attacked in Park Avenue, Rockhampton on February 24.
He was taken into custody and charged with one count of wounding after a 22-year-old man was injured and taken to Rockhampton Hospital.

The man charged is expected to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on March 17.

The 22-year-old alleged victim was released from Rockhampton Hospital earlier this week after he suffered injuries to both arms.

About 6.31pm, emergency services were called to Glenmore Road on Friday after receiving reports a man had been assaulted by a man known to him.

Rockhampton Police are investigating a possible assault after a 22-year-old man suffered injuries to both arms at Glenmore Road, Park Avenue on February 24 before 6.30pm.

“Police are investigating a wounding incident in Park Avenue tonight, February 24,” the spokesperson said.

“A 26-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with dashcam vision or information that could assist investigators, is urged to contact police.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
