A 25-year-old man has faced court after being arrested for allegedly stealing cash from the Red Rooster on Musgrave St while armed.

Police charged Timothy Richard Adidi in relation to the alleged armed robbery of the North Rockhampton fast food outlet on Friday, August 30.

Police allege Mr Adidi attended the business about 8.30pm, where he allegedly threatened staff with a piece of wood and stole a quantity of cash.

Following investigations by the Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch, detectives arrested him the following day.

Mr Adidi was charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count each of wilful damage and enter premises with intent.

Mr Adidi’s matters were briefly mentioned in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday morning, where he was represented by defence lawyer Pierre Lammersdorf.

Mr Lammersdorf informed the court that his client would not be applying for bail and sought briefs of evidence for all charges.

Mr Adidi was remanded in custody and his matters were adjourned to November 5.
