A Foodworks supermarket, Liquor Legends and Fish N Flips Swim School have been revealed as confirmed tenants for the Norman Gardens Village Centre as part of the vacant block of development land has hit the market again.

Part of a wider mixed-used development on the corner of Norman Rd and Nagle Dr, the 3,620 sqm block subdivided for the childcare centre is now for sale.

The vacant site has development approval for a shopping centre to include a supermarket, retail stores, swim school, gym, service station, medical services and food and beverage outlet with 44 carparking spaces, along with a 130-place single-level childcare centre, with 33 carparking spaces.

The shopping centre development has been in talks for a long time and was first approved by council in 2018.

The real estate listing, from KD Special Projects, states “prominent national tenants” include Foodworks, Liquor Legends and Fish ‘n’ Flips swim school, and the remaining tenancies are expected to finalised shortly.

The site is currently owned by a Sydney-based company, Crab Investments, who purchased it in 2021 for $2.86 million.

A 29-lot subdivision is also under construction neighbouring the site.

The road attracts 15000 to 17000 vehicles in daily passing traffic.

NORTHISDE PROJECTS

Construction is also underway down the road to connect the Bunnings complex on River Rose Dr to Forest Park Estate.

The project, estimated to cost $2.5 million, will link up the two existing connections, and allow for easier access to Norman Gardens.

Also on the northside, a Dan Murphy’s is under construction, to be opened by the end of the year at the Glenmore Shopping Village, next to the Glenmore Tavern.

It will mark the second store for the city, after the Allenstown store on southside opened in 2010.

The Village sold in September 2022 for $5.82 million to Brisbane development company Augustine Property through Neale Crow of Knight Frank Rockhampton.
