Emergency crews called to crash at Iveragh, Mount Alma

Emergency crews have been kept busy in Central Queensland responding to a number of incidents across the region on Sunday.

Emergency crews have raced to a single-vehicle rollover on the Bruce Highway south of Gladstone.

Paramedics were called to the incident at Iveragh about 1.23pm.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Police Service said the car was towing a caravan and was off the road when they arrived.

She said both occupants of the vehicle had managed to free themselves from the car and no one was trapped.

Both people have sustained minor injuries.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics were treating one of the patients for an arm injury.

They taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition.

It’s the second crash to keep emergency crews busy in 12 hours, with a man taken to Gladstone Hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning after a crash at Mount Alma.

Crews were called to the single-vehicle crash at 1.39am.

The man, aged in his 20s, sustained a head injury and chest pain and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Paramedics were also called to a private property at Mulara on Sunday afternoon after someone fell from a horse.

They were taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with hip and back pain.
