Emergency crews called to Byellee vehicle fire

Multiple emergency crews were called to a vehicle fire near Gladstone on Wednesday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to the incident at on Don Young Drive at Byellee about 2pm, with crews arriving on scene about 2.17pm.
It is understood the vehicle was “totally involved” when crews arrived, with a grass fire also believe to have started as a result.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said two firefighters were in action with breathing apparatus to get the blaze under control.
She said the blaze was extinguished by 2.30pm.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics were called to the incident but were stood down as there were no patients on scene.
Police were also called to the incident.
