A teenage boy who suffered suspected spinal injuries in a farming incident at a rural Central Queensland property on Sunday has been transferred to a hospital in Brisbane.

The CapRescue chopper was called to the property at Ogmore, about 112km north of Rockhampton, about 9.30am.

A CapRescue spokeswoman said a 15-year-old boy was injured in a fall from a motorbike.

A Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service spokeswoman on Monday said the boy had been transferred to Queensland Children’s Hospital.

The spokeswoman said the boy was transported in a stable condition for further scans and medical treatment.

A CapRescue spokeswoman said the boy was carrying out farming duties when he fell from the bike, causing suspected upper limb and spinal injuries.

“He was initially treated by ground Queensland Ambulance officers prior to the arrival of CapRescue,” she said.

“The on-board flight medical team provided further medical treatment before the patient was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital.”

In a separate incident in Central Queensland on Sunday, a woman in her 20s suffered a leg injury in a motorbike crash at a private property on Morcom Street, Calliope, about 10.46am.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the woman was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition.
