Queensland criminals facing the new ‘High Tower’ of policing may think twice when this first year constable approaches.

Jacob is 2.1 metres tall (7ft) and a mountain of a man.

He is among the latest recruits at the Rockhampton and North Rockhampton stations with a Facebook post introducing the new rookies going viral with more than 1000 likes, 600 plus comments and 330 plus shares overnight.

Some readers couldn’t believe the size of the bloke on the right, suggesting he may have been an AI creation.

But police confirmed repeatedly that Jacob was real and 7ft tall.

“Ha – can’t wait to see reactions when he folds out of the patrol car,’’ Gregory Arthur posted.

Others suggested he might need a bigger patrol car than normal.

Joy Waters had a novel fundraising suggestion.

“Please don’t take this wrong … are you going to sell tickets to his first call out? I want to see their faces as he straightens up, look at it as fundraising towards covering his uniform and shoes, Bless you all and stay safe!”

Brett McCarthy said he thought “Rocky being Rocky, someone will still think they can take on “Hightower”.

Constables John and Monique attracted similar attention in 2015 when this photo was posted of them standing back-to-back. John, who stands at an impressive 206cm (6'9"), dwarfed his colleague, who stands at a mere 155cm (5'1").

High Tower was the giant cop in the Police Academy movies series, played by former Super Bowl winner Bubba Smith, who died in 2011.

Our Rocky version not only attracted attention for his policing abilities.

Donna Mills wanted to know whether he is married. “Asking for a friend.”

La Cruz II said he would surrender to the tall cop when he saw him approaching, ‘even though I did nothing’.

Carlee Lawson said he might save firefighters a trip.

“He’ll be able to reach up and help the kitty out of the tree, no ladder required.”

Eric Rose was hoping “that guy would clean Rockhampton up on his own. What an asset to have.”

Sybil Leigh said he would be a natural addition to the basketball team as well.

Natalie Studdert was witty in her response. “I’m surprised those five people passed! Look at them, they are tiny! They’d need all five just to arrest one person.
