Locale owner’s son, Corrado Capurso, killed in Noosa motorbike accident

The popular teenage son of a well-known Noosa hospitality family has been killed in a motorbike crash, with the tragedy prompting an outpouring of grief.

The much-loved son of a prominent Noosa restaurant owner has been killed in a motorbike crash on Friday.

Doonan teen Carrado Capurso was killed when the motorbike he was riding collided with a hatchback on Eenie Creek Rd near Reef St in Noosaville on Friday afternoon.

The 19-year-old died at the scene.

He is the son of Locale owner Rio Capurso.

A social media post by Locale on Saturday stated the restaurant was temporarily closed, reopening at midday on Sunday, due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

The post triggered an outpouring of grief, with many commenting the news was “heartbreaking”.

“We will miss him,” one comment stated.

“Such very sad news, deepest condolences,” another said.

It is understood the 19-year-old worked alongside his father at the popular Italian restaurant, with one social media post stating Corrado had “inherited a deep love for Italian cuisine and a flair for hospitality”.

“From the moment you step in, his infectious smile will make you feel like family,” the post stated.

Responses to that social media post, published last year, showed how popular the teen was with customers.

One said Carrado was “the best” who looked after them every time they visited the restaurant.

Another stated he was “wonderful”.

A police spokesman said investigations into the crash were ongoing.
