One of Noosa’s business groups will welcome a new 13-strong leadership team at its upcoming annual general meeting.

After a rocky six months, which included three people holding the president role, Noosa’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland members are hoping their new-look leadership team will add some stability for businesses amid the turbulent COVID-19 challenges.

The Chamber’s annual general meeting, to be held at Sunshine Beach Surf Club on September 15, will formally announce the group’s biggest leadership team.

The new group will be made up of the leadership committee and a number of portfolios, including arts, retail and short term accommodation.

Chamber boss bails out just six months into the role

According to the meeting agenda, all of the 13 positions have been elected unopposed.

Here are the members of the new Noosa Chamber of Commerce leadership team.

President, Rob Neely

Former Peregian Beach Surf Club president, Noosa Hinterland Residents Association president, and former vice president of the chamber, Rob Neely is the new president.

Vice President, Janet Kake

Former chamber president Janet Kake believes the new leadership group had what it took to bring a new strength to the Noosa business group and Noosa businesses.

“We have had some extremely good people putting their hands up,” Ms Kake said.

“It’ll be a bigger committee than we’ve ever had.”
