Beauty giant MECCA has unveiled its first resort concept store as it opens to locals and tourists at Noosa’s Hastings St.

The Australasian retailer’s 109th store features a vibrant colour palette and a range of brands fit for the resort location.

The store opened on Thursday with exciting celebrations planned for its opening weekend including exclusive offers.

MECCA chief of new concepts and services officer Maria Tsaousis said she hoped the store would become the ultimate beauty destination.

Customers will have access to four dedicated service chairs offering a range of services from fragrance consultations to make-up applications.

“We are so excited to be bringing our signature MECCA magic to the shores of Noosa, one of Australia’s most loved holiday destinations,” Ms Tsaousis said.

“We want MECCA Noosa to be the ultimate beauty destination for locals and tourists to discover new brands, indulge in self-spooling moments and grab their favourite products on the go.”

The 169 sqm store will feature more than 60 beauty brands including cult-classics from NARS, Hourglass, Urban Decay and Laura Mercier.

“We have brought our first ever resort concept to life through a vibrant colour palette, a curated edit of brands and bespoke services, creating an exciting new in-store experience and taking MECCA on holiday with our customers,” Ms Tsaousis said.

MECCA was founded 25 years ago by Jo Horgan with its first store in Melbourne opening with just seven brands.

Now she and her husband Peter Wetenhall are said to control more than 10 per cent of the Australian beauty market, which is worth about $4.5bn.

From Friday to Sunday exclusive complimentary services will be on offer at the Noosa store including finding the perfect SPF and skin tint for your skin, as well as bespoke fragrance consultations from Byredo‘s fragrance collection.

Customers who spend $85 or more will receive an exclusive gift including a full sized product from Drunk Elephant, Tatcha, Sunday Riley or Kevyn Aucoin.

The store is located at 1/35 Hastings St.
