Man charged over stabbing outside public housing in Ipswich

A man has been charged after an alleged stabbing outside a public housing building in Ipswich on Saturday.

A man has been charged after an alleged stabbing outside a public housing building in Ipswich on Saturday.

Police had earlier alleged two male residents of the Milford St house, both aged 39, were involved in an altercation where one man allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the other in the back.

Emergency services were quick to arrive on scene and transported the man to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra hospital in a critical condition. Police on Sunday said the man’s condition was stable and he had two wounds to his back.

A 39-year-old Ipswich man was charged and on Sunday remained in police custody. He was due to appear at the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
