Man charged after shots allegedly fired in Ipswich altercation
A man has been charged after allegedly holding a gun to a woman’s head and firing shots into the air in an altercation west of Brisbane.

A suspected gunman has been captured by police in bushland after allegedly threatening a woman with a gun in Ipswich on Monday afternoon.
It will be alleged the man was wielding a gun and pointing it towards a woman at an address in Alexandra St, Brassall.
In CCTV footage a man can be seen pointing a gun at the woman and shoving her, as the pair appear to wrestle over a bag on the ground.
The man then points the gun again at the woman’s head, and a flash of light can be seen as a shot is fired into the air.
A police spokesman said officers responded to calls of a man with a gun and acting in a threatening manner and shots being fired into the air.
Its understood officers located a man in bushland a short distance away and took him into custody.
The man will appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with being armed to cause fear, possession of a weapon and a domestic violence offence.
A woman was being interviewed by police.
