First grade

Sam Vassallo (Walkerston) - 100 (55)

Vassallo produced an epic knock in the most recent round of the competition, notching up a ton as he led Walkerston to victory over Norths.

Darryn Dyer (Pioneer Valley) - 111* (67)

Not to be upstaged, Dyer showcased why he’s widely regarded as one of the most dynamic batsmen in Mackay, notching up a century of his own to lift the Panthers over Magpies.

Cody Filewood (Pioneer Valley) - 56 (33)

Partnered with Dyer in round 1 to lead the Panthers to a total of 216.

Cameron Keene (Souths) - 52 (32)

Despite the round 1 loss, Keene produced an exceptional performance with the bat to give his side a chance.

Luke Jackson (Walkerston) - 58* (49)

Walkerston’s round 1 win came off the back of a solid half-century from their number 5 Luke Jackson.

Etienne Pretorius (Walkerston) - 3/4 (1.1 overs)

Pretorius capped off Walkerston’s round 1 win with a hat trick to secure the victory.

Chris Day (Norths) - 60 (44)

Day led his side to victory in round 1 with a valuable half-century.

Isaac Borg (Magpies) - 3/7 (3 overs)

Borg stepped to the fore for Magpies as he claimed three wickets to help them roll Souths for just 66 in their round 2 victory.

Chris Dunn (Brothers) - 4/18 (4 overs)

Dunn helped to bowl out Norths in Brothers’ round 2 victory with his four-wicket performance.

Darryn Dyer (Pioneer Valley) - 79 (50)

Dyer put in a match-winning performance for the Panthers against Souths in round 1.

Jack Law (Brothers) - 49* (23)

Law secured his side got over the line in comfortable fashion with his unbeaten near half-century.

Luke Bryan (Norths) - 3/15 (4 overs)

Bryan wasn’t able to lift the Demons in a losing effort, but still put together a solid showing with his three scalps.

Cody Filewood (Pioneer Valley) - 3/11 (2 overs)

Filewood again stepped to the for but this time with ball in hand, as he picked up three scalps in just two overs to help down Walkerston.

Mitch English (Pioneer Valley) - 57* (43)

English’s half-century locked in the Panthers’ round 2 victory.

Ben Zurvas (Magpies) - 85* (39)

Zurvas was a force to be reckoned with in his side’s victory over Brothers, notching up an unbeaten 85 to steer them home.

Joel Bruun (Pioneer Valley) - 3/5 (2 overs)

Sent Norths off with a bang in their matchup in round 3 as the Panthers knocked them over for 62.

Sam Vassallo (Walkerston) - 84 (37)

In the first of his two monster innings in the T20 competition, Vassallo notched up almost three-quarters of his side’s total in their run chase.

Second grade

Riley Smith (Pioneer Valley) - 4/4 (1.4 overs)

An extraordinary bowling performance to clean up the tail saw Smith pick up four wickets in less than two overs to help lift the Panthers over Souths.

Matthew Doolan (Pioneer Valley) - 50* (48)

The other key contributor for Pioneer Valley was Doolan as he produced an unbeaten half-century to lift his team to victory.

Derek Fitzgerald (Magpies) - 71 (56)

Despite Magpies’ round 1 loss to Sarina, Fitzgerald put together a solid performance to get his side to a defensible total.

Chris Vella (Walkerston) - 4/14 (4 overs)

Vella was able to pick up key wickets to limit Brothers’ scoring to ensure an easier chase for Walkerston’s batting lineup.

Russell Deguara (Walkerston) - 75* (47)

Deguara led Walkerston to victory in their round 3 matchup with an impressive knock which saw them reach their target in in 16.5 overs.

Jacob Aquilina (Pinnacle) - 50 (44)

Despite his side’s defeat, Aquilina produced a positive performance at the top of the order to put them in contention.

Janath De Silva (Magpies) - 5/14 (4 overs)

De Silva dispatched of Souths’ middle order as he picked up five wickets to give his Magpies the upper hand in their round 1 clash.

Jacob Christensen (Walkerston) - 5/24 (4 overs)

The Roosters weren’t able to get the win on this occasion, however, Christensen put together an impressive performance with the ball.

Ben Schembri (Pioneer Valley) - 3/11 (4 overs)

Schembri was a key figure in helping his side bowl out Walkerston for just 86 in their round 2 clash, even picking up a pair of maidens from his four overs.

Duncan Sperling (Norths) - 50 (38)

Despite the loss to Walkerston Sperling put together a handy performance.

Dean Zeller (Pioneer Valley) - 4/15 (4 overs)

Pioneer Valley was able to stave off Sarina by just three runs in round 3 thanks in part to Zeller’s bowling performance.

Joseph Hackney (Magpies) - 51* (27)

Hackney was the driving force behind Magpies securing their victory over Brothers in round 3.
