Moranbah man charged with malicious act, assault over alleged DV assault
Police have arrested a Qld man on serious domestic violence charges over an incident that allegedly involved inflicting wounds on his victim.

Detectives have charged a man over a horror incident that involved allegedly inflicting wounds on his victim after police rushed to reports of a domestic violence attack at Moranbah.
Officers were called to a home on Connor Dr about 10.15am February 22 where a man had allegedly assaulted and stabbed a woman known to him, causing cuts to her elbow and behind her ear.
When police arrived, the man allegedly armed himself with a bladed weapon and remained inside the property in a tense stand off.
After negotiations, police arrested the man inside the home about 11.30am.
The woman and man were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A 32-year-old Moranbah man has been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and assaults occasioning bodily harm, both of which are domestic violence offences, and serious assault police officer while armed.
He was refused police bail and is will appear in Moranbah Magistrates Court on Monday.
Investigations are ongoing.
