A double dipping thief

A thief targeted an Eimeo house twice in two days on Eulbertie Avenue.

The thief took photos of credit cards and used them to make a series of online purchases at major online retail stores amassing a significant amount of debt.

The thief also stole a pink computer mouse, coins, foreign currency and a set of keys.

The offender returned to the same house between 10pm March 23 and 8am March 24 and using the stolen keys, the thief moved a ute to access a 2017 Honda CRV.

The thief stole the registration plates from the ute and stole the Honda CRV.

Stolen trailer without a trail

Police are still appealing for a trailer that disappeared without a trace from Nebo last year.

Reports indicate the trailer and excavator bucket were stolen from a yard in Nebo on the Peak Downs Highway between October 29, 2020 and January 5, 2021.

Police said both pieces of equipment had distinctive markings and would be easily identifiable if located.

The trailer was last seen with Queensland registration 623UDA.

Thieves broke into an Ergon depot on Pinnacle-Septimus Road about 3am on Sunday March 14, cutting through a chain link fence surrounding the compound before helping themselves to reels of wire.

Mirani police believe the thieves then found a large roll of copper wire along with other drums and loaded them into the back of a two-wheel-drive ute.

Reports indicate the thieves left the address and travelled east on Mackay-Eungella Road.

Police have reported another case of stolen cabling but this time from a business compound in Glenella.

Two 400-metre drums of cabling were stolen from Brickworks court between 6pm March 11 and 6am March 12.

Thieves cut through a perimeter fence line to gain access to the compound.

Polices said a considerable amount of effort would have been needed to move these items from the area.

Sliced security screen

Another thief cut through a home security mesh and fiddled with a sliding door lock to gain access to a Glenella between 11pm on March 12 and 7am on March 13.

The keys were used to steal the owner’s silver 2013 Nissan Patrol with the registration number 117BC9.

Police said anyone who may have seen the event or the car in question should phone Crimestoppers.
